What to Look For:
Vassar will travel for its second consecutive dual meet Saturday afternoon, swimming against the Violets of New York University, who come into the meet 4-0 on the season.

Last Time Out:
Vassar is coming off a 125-47 dual meet victory over Bard College Wednesday evening in its first competition action of the season. The Brewers notched multiple solo event victories while posting the top relay times to earn their first win of the 2014-15 campaign.

A Look at the Violets:
NYU has been in action since October 11, when the Violets downed SUNY Cortland 198-94 in its first dual meet of the season. NYU has also topped Brandeis University, Canisius College and University of Rochester in a weekend meet at Rochester on October 24-25.

NYU is coming off a successful 2013-14 campaign, where the team finished 28th of 51 teams at the NCAA Championships. The Violets also finished 5th of eight teams in the highly competitive University Athletic Association conference. NYU currently has 44 athletes on its roster, but only includes three upper classmen as the squad is currently dominated by freshmen and sophomore swimmers.

Record Breaker:
Senior diver Kelly Wilkinson (Oceanside, CA/Vista) was among the top performers for Vassar at Bard, posting a combined score of 402.65 in the women's 1 meter diving event. The mark broke the Vassar School record of 395.70 in the 11-dive 1 meter category, set back in 2013 by Christine Musket. The result stands as an NCAA provisional qualifying score, giving Wilkinson a highly-promising start to the 2014-15 campaign.

Head of the Violets:
Head coach Trevor Miele enters his third season at the helm for NYU swimming programs, coming off a year where he was name the men and women's Coach of the Meet at the ECAC Championships. Trevor was a former standout for the Violets, and graduated from the University in 1999.

Previous Encounter:
Last season, the two squads met for a dual meet at Kresge Pool, where the violets came away with a 193-101 victory. Then-freshman Julia Cunningham (Yardley, PA/Peddie School) won two races while then-sophomore Lily Frye (Fairport, NY/Harley School) took a single win. Cunningham won the 200 Yard Butterfly (2:08.06) and the 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:28.64). Frye claimed victory in the 50 Yard Freestyle by .04 (26.24).

Next Up:
The Vassar Swimming and Diving teams will serve as hosts for the first time this season on Saturday, November 8 when the squads swim vs. Skidmore for a meet at Kresge Pool.
