Last Time Out:
Vassar is coming off a 2-0 loss on Wednesday October 8th at #12 Montclair State. Vassar was able to hold the Red Haws scoreless in the first half; however, two second-half goals scored by Kaila Fasano gave Montclair State the victory. Vassar was held shot-less during the match, as Montclair State possessed the No. 1 defense in the nation at the time.

A Look at the Golden Knights:
The Golden Knights are 5-7-1 on the season and are coming off of a 1-0 loss against Liberty League foe, Skidmore. During this match they were out-shot by a relatively large margin; Skidmore recorded 22 shots while Clarkson shot just 13 times. This shot-filled match was not paired with many goals, only one goal being scored during the entirety of the game. The goal, which came from Morgan Governale of Skidmore during the 1st half, proved to be too much for the Golden Knights who were held scoreless throughout. Vassar will have to kick its offense into gear against the Golden Knights, as the Brewers have been held to only one goal in the past three games.

All-Time Series:
Historically Vassar has dominated Clarkson, recording an 11-2-1 record against the Golden Knights all-time. The Brewers were victorious in their last meeting on October 19, 2013 by a score of 2-0. Vassar has also won its last 6 meetings with Clarkson, with their last defeat dating all the way back to the 2006 campaign.

A Look at the Saints:
St. Lawrence is coming off of 1-1 draw against RIT on October 11th, and are currently 1-2-1 through four Liberty League games. The Saints are led by freshman Kaleigh White on offense, who has scored six goals in 13 appearances for her side. Junior Caroline Crandall and freshman Hannah Merriham have been key setting up plays for St. Lawrence, as the pair has contributed five assist each so far this season. Junior Kelsey West has a .765 save percentage with a .82 GAA in 13 starts for the Saints.

All-Time Series:
Vassar has a record of 5-10-1 all-time against St. Lawrence University, with their last win against the Saints coming on September 28th, 2012 by a score of 3-2. The Saints were the victors in their last meeting, however, winning 1-0 on October 18th, 2013.

Liberty League Shaping Up:
With only a few weeks left in the season, the contenders in the Liberty League have started to separate themselves. Defending league champion William Smith currently holds the no. 1 spot with a 4-0 record, while RPI is not far behind at 3-1. Skidmore has yet to drop a game in conference play, and currently holds a 2-0-2 in Liberty competition.

Thanks Seniors!
Vassar will honor its four seniors from the class of 2015 this Saturday against St. Lawrence. Chloe Wheeler (Thousand Oaks, CA/Westlake), Lily Lanier (Brookline, MA/Brookline), Sarah Bourenane (Carrollton, TX/Hebron) and Kim Kogler (Colorado Springs, CO/Pine Creek) will celebrate senior day against the Saints.

Protect this House:
The Vassar women will put their home undefeated record to the test this weekend, as the Brewers have amassed a 3-0-1 mark at Gordon Field in 2014. VC topped Mt. Saint Mary 1-0 in their season opener, then went on to beat Western Connecticut 3-0 (9/17) and Manhattanville 6-0 (9/20). Vassar's only non-victory came against Skidmore on September 27, when the teams played to a 0-0 draw.

Next Up:
Vassar will host William Patterson University on Wednesday, October 22 for their non-conference finale.
