Men's Soccer Falls In Overtime To Haverford, 2-1

    HAVERFORD, PA (September 7, 2013) – The Vassar College men's soccer team fell to Haverford College, 2-1 in overtime Saturday afternoon during the Jimmy Mills Classic at Walton Field.

    Ford Bohrmann scored the game-winner for Haverford in the 92nd minute off of a crossing pass from the endline. Colin Seitz was credited with the assist for the Fords.

    Junior Zach Nasipak got things rolling for both sides when he gave Vassar the lead in the 59th minute of play. The Brewers unfortunately were only able to hold the 1-0 lead for four seconds before Fords' Jamie Reingruber charged down the field to tie the game, 1-1.

    Haverford outshot Vassar, 19-6 with nine shots on goal. All six of Vassar's shots were on goal, led by senior Rob Manukyan who had two. Haverford had 10 total corners that all occurred in the first half while both of Vassar's happened in the second half.   

    Senior Ryan Grimme picked up his first loss of the season with seven saves. Nick Kahn recorded five saves for Haverford.

    The Brewers (2-1) will next face Ursinus College on Sunday at 1:00 pm, finishing the Jimmy Mills Classic at Haverford. The Fords (3-0) will next host Kean University at 3:30 pm.
