SWARTHMORE, PA (April 6, 2013) – Senior Andrew Guzick and freshman Daniel Cooper defeated the No. 1 doubles team of Max Kaye and Max Sacks from the Nationally Ranked #23 Swarthmore College, 8-4. The Vassar College men's tennis team would go on to fall, 8-1 against the Atlantic South #5 team on Saturday evening.

Guzick fought a close match against the No. 1 singles player, Anthony Collard, but fell, 6-4, 6-4. Senior Josh Kessler had another close singles match at the No. 6 spot against Malik Mubeen. He fell, 6-2, 6-3.

The Brewers fall to 5-10 and they will next travel to Williamstown, MA on Friday, April 12 for a 4:00 pm start with #5 Nationally Ranked and #1 Northeast Regionally Ranked Williams College. Swarthmore improves to 5-6 and will next travel to Muhlenberg on April 8 for a 5:00 pm match-start.

Kessler teamed with freshman Christian Phelps for a close, 8-4 loss against the No. 3 pair of Christian Carcione and Daniel Park.
