Vassar Notes: Sophomore guard
Curtis Smith hit a career-high 20 points, but the Brewers (7-14, 3-9 Liberty League) fell to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Tuesday evening, 85-76. After leading for more than half the game, RPI went on a 17-2 run, taking the lead 69-58. After a Brewer 13-3 run, the Engineers closed the game with a 13-5 run featuring nine free throws from six different players.
The Brewer offense is averaging 64.2 points per game while the defense is allowing 66.9 points per game. Junior forward
John Donnelly leads the Brewers averaging 11.3 points per game and also grabs 5.2 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward
Alex Snyder averages 10.8 points per game and a team-high 10.4 rebounds per game.
Vassar Next Game: The Brewers will next take to the road to face Liberty League No. 4 Skidmore College and No. 2 Union College next weekend.

Hobart Notes: Liberty League No. 1 Hobart (14-6, 10-1 Liberty League) pulled out an 85-82 double overtime win against No. 2 Union College Tuesday evening. The win kept Hobart ahead of Union in the league standings by a game and a half and marked head coach Mike Neer's 600th career victory. Senior Stefan Thompson scored a career-high 30 points and became the seventh player to record 1,500 career points (1,527) in Hobart History.
Hobart's offense is averaging 73.6 points per game while its defense is allowing 66.2 points per game. Richie Bonney leads with 20.1 points per game and Thompson follows with 16.1 points per game.
Hobart Next Game: After Friday's game, the Statesmen will travel to Bard College tomorrow for a 4:00 pm game start.

RIT Notes: The Tigers (6-14, 2-9) fell to RPI, 88-75 Tuesday evening. Senior Eric Travis led RIT with 17 points. He was 8-of-18 from the floor and grabbed eight rebounds. Dave Lynch scored 13 points off the bench, while Jameel Balenton added 12 points, six rebounds and three assists. RIT faces Bard Friday night at 8:00 pm at Annandale-on-Hudson.
The Tigers' offense is averaging 61.8 points per game while the defense is allowing 69.8 points per game. Balenton averages 12.8 points per game, leading RIT. Travis averages 9.9 points per game and Nick Dobson averages 8.2 points per game. Travis leads the Tigers' pressence under the board with 4.9 rebounds per game.
