POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (February 28, 2013) - The Vassar College men's tennis team will travel to Northeast Regionally ranked #8 Massachusetts Institute of Technology and #10 Brandeis University this Friday and Saturday.

Christian Phelps defeated Skidmore's Danny Knight at the No. 5 spot in the lineup in two, 6-3 sets. Knight was part of the duo that narrowly defeated Vassar's No. 1 doubles team of seniors

Dan Freeman, 9-7.
Guzick and Phelps swept Liberty League Weekly Honors. Guzick was the Performer of the Week for the third straight week in a row and Phelps was the Rookie of the Week.
Vassar Next Match: Vassar will next next travel to California for its annual Spring Break Trip. The Brewers will start the trip against Caltech on Tuesday, March 12 at 4:00 pm.

MIT Notes: The Engineers (4-0) defeated Eastern Nazarene College, 9-0, at home on Tuesday, February 26. In doubles, juniors Edwin Zhang and Curtis Wu defeated Sam Mckay-Corkum and Sam Son with a score of 8-4. Freshman Kevin Wang and senior Tymor Hamamasy won against Tim Luz and Nick Thompson, 8-1. To end doubles, freshmen Jeffrey Bu and Dennis A Garcia had an 8-0 win over Tyler Perron and Kevin Paterno.
MIT Next Match: The Engineers will next host Franklin and Marshall College at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 2.

Brandeis Notes: The Judges (2-3) lost to #16 nationally ranked Redlands 8-1 after falling 9-0 to #5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on February 22 and 23.Mitch Krems was the only Brandeis player to pick up a win. He defeated Redlands' Taylor Hunt, 6-3, 6-2.
