POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (November 1, 2013) - The Vassar College women's and men's rugby teams have vital matches this weekend. The women will square off with the undefeated power known as Stony Brook University on Saturday while the men are still fighting for a spot in their playoffs when the face off with another undefeated team in Marist College on Sunday.

The Vassar Women's Rugby team plays on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. at The Vassar Farm in the Conference Championship game. They take on undefeated Stony Brook University Women in what promises to be an exciting and hard hitting game. The Brewers are led by Margaret Kwateng and Dallas Robinson and a win would earn them a bye into the American Collegiate Rugby Association Championship Round of 16. This will be hosted at Vassar on November 16 & 17, 2013.

The Vassar Men are vying for a Conference playoff spot and play undefeated Marist College Men at Marist on Sunday. The Brewers need to win to have a chance of making the top 4 and a semifinal place on November 10th. Andrew Jdaydani and Karl Foley captain the team in this must win situation and the game kicks-off on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
