ROCHESTER, NY (October 5, 2013) – Senior Juliano Pereira got his seventh season goal in the Vassar College men's soccer team's 1-0 win over Liberty League opponent, Rochester Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.

    Pereira got his unassisted goal at 64:07 when he sent a free kick that curved into the corner. It is his third game-winning goal this year.

    RIT recorded 18 shots with three on goal while Vassar only had eight shots with three on goal as well. The Brewers recorded 12 fouls to the Tigers' 10. Senior Ryan Grimme had three saves for Vassar while Mark Reeves had two.

    The Brewers also earned three yellow cards being credited to Grimme, freshman Noah Bloch and junior Tom Wiechert.

    The Brewers (6-3-3, 1-0-2 Liberty League) will next host St. Lawrence University on Friday, October 18 at 4:00 pm. The Tigers (5-4-1, 2-1-0 Liberty League) will next travel to Geneseo, NY to face SUNY Geneseo on October 9 at 4:00 pm.
