ANNADALE-ON-HUDSON (October 29, 2013) – Sophomore Kamaria Coley (Washington, DC/Academy of the Holy Cross) took three shots Tuesday night at Bard College. Three of those shots were on goal. Three of those were goals and gave Coley the perfect hat trick in the Vassar College women's soccer team's 5-1 Liberty League win.

The scoreboard was finally forced to change from the 0-0 tie that had shone for more than half the game when freshman Jordyn Matthews (Newton, MA/Newton North) received a pass from junior Chloe Wheeler (Thousand Oaks, CA/Westlake) and popped the ball over Bard goalkeeper Kelsey O'Brien's head for the Vassar 1-0 lead at 63:46.

Coley got her first goal on the next series at 64:10. Sophomore Lucy Brainerd (Littleton, CO/Heritage) sent a long ball down the right side to Coley who beat O'Brien to the far post. The Raptors responded when Abbey Labrecque sent a pass to Hallie Nolan who returned the favor for a point-blank shot from Labrecque at 71:12.

Since this was Bard's only goal, Coley got credited with the game-winning goal instead of Matthews.

Brainerd found Coley again for her second assist of the night when she took back-to-back corners with the second one at 75:11 finding Coley who redirected the ball in front of the net at 75:18 for the 3-1 lead.

The Brewers added a goal from junior Kelsey Domb (Round Rock, TX/Round Rock) off a Wheeler assist at 83:09 before Coley rounded out her perfect night at 84:46. Senior Sheeva Seyfi (Laguna Hills, CA/Laguna Hills) took a shot that was saved by O'Brien but ricocheted in front of Coley for the easy put back, 5-1 final score.

Freshman Stephanie Tapolsky (Louisville, KY/Dupont Manual) recorded two saves while O'Brien had three. Vassar outshot Bard 12-11 with eight on goal compared to the Raptor's three. The Raptor defense held the Brewers to only one shot in the first half.

Vassar held the advantage on corners 6-5.
