POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 10, 2013) – The Vassar College men's swimming and diving team travels to Troy, NY for the Kumpf Invitational on Saturday and then both men and women will host Trinity College on Sunday's Senior Day.

Vassar Men Notes: The Brewers are coming off a long winter break from the pool. Their last meet was the Liberty League Championships held at the University of Rochester on November 30-December 1. Vassar finished seventh out of the eight teams in participation.
The Brewers' biggest highlight of the weekend competition was the fifth place finish by the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of
Greg Cristina,
Luc Amodio,
Isaiah Hale and Mathúe Duhaney in 1:30.23.
Vassar Men Next Meet: The Brewers will next host Montclair State University on Wednesday, January 23 at 6:00 pm.
Vassar Women Notes: The Brewers competed well during the Liberty League Championships at the University of Rochester on November 30-December 1. Vassar finished sixth out of the nine schools in competition.
Sophomore diver
Jane Cardona broke the Vassar College record in the 3-Meter board (391.70) and is 19 points away from an NCAA Regional Qualifier Mark, which could lead to a trip to the NCAA Championships in Shenandoah, TX. Cardona snapped the 1-Meter board record earlier but teammate
Kelly Wilkinson busted the record with an additional 22 more points than Cardona.
Vassar Women Next Meet: The Brewers will next travel to Wellesley, MA for the Seven Sisters Championship at Wellesley College on January 19-20.

Trinity Notes: The Bantams lost to Bates College 177.5-47.5 in their last team-scoring meet. Freshman Nick Celestin won three events during the Hamilton Swimming and Diving Invitational on December 1-2. Junior diver Emily Johnson won the 3-Meter Diving event with an NCAA Meet Qualifying score of 440.75 and recorded an NCAA Meet Qualifying score of 408.70 on the 1-Meter board.
Celestin won the 100 Yard Butterfly (52.64), 200 Yard Butterfly (1:56.59) and the 100 Yard Individual Medley (54.72).
Trinity Next Meet: The Bantams will next host Brandeis University on January 19 at 1:00 pm.
