POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (September 27, 2012) – The Vassar College women's volleyball team faces a critical juncture of its 2012 season on Friday and Saturday with the second of three Liberty League competition weekends.

Vassar, 7-3, 3-1 in the Liberty League will face Union College (10-4, 0-1) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and St. Lawrence (6-12, 1-3) at 6:00 p.m. Those matches will be played at Skidmore College. On Saturday, the Brewers face Clarkson (14-3, 4-0) at 11:00 am and Skidmore (7-4, 1-0) at 1:00 pm. Those matches will be played at Union College.

This past Tuesday, Clarkson defeated No. 9 nationally-ranked Cortland in five sets, winning the final set 15-9.

Sophomore Taylor Mosley, who was named to the Liberty League Honor Roll on Monday, leads the team in kills with 82, a 2.56 per set average. Senior Chloe McGuire follows at (67/2.48).

Sophomore Hilary Koenigs leads the team in set assists (8.81), which is third best in the Liberty League. Freshman Chloe Hallum had 136 digs on the season (4.86), also third best in the league.
