Volleyball Falls to Clarkson In Liberty League Play, 3-1

Taylor Mosley equaled a career high with 16 kills against Clarkson.

ROCHESTER, NY (September 22, 20120 – Despite getting 16 kills from sophomore Taylor Mosley and 13 from senior Chloe McGuire, the Vassar College women's volleyball team fell to Clarkson 3-1 (14-25, 20-25, 25-17, 17-25) in its third Liberty League match on Saturday afternoon at RIT.

With 16 kills, Mosley tied a career high and also had a career-best 42 attack attempts. She hit .324 (16-3-42). McGuire was equally impressive with 13 kills and a single error on 37 attempts.

The Brewers are now 7-3, 3-1 on the season. Clarkson improves to 13-3, 3-0. Vassar will be in action next Friday and Saturday as Liberty League play continues at Skidmore College. Vassar meets Union at 4 p.m. and St. Lawrence at 6 p.m.

Against Clarkson, senior Hilary Koenigs had 42 set assists. Freshman libero Chloe Hallum had 16 digs.

Clarkson was led by Victoria Kirkemo with 15 kills and Aishvina Arasu with 12. Lani Durio had 33 set assists.
