PLATTSBURGH, NY (September 15, 2012) –
Kelsey Domb's penalty kick lifted the Vassar College women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over SUNY Plattsburgh State University Saturday afternoon.
The Brewers now move to a record of 5-1 with the win and will have their first home game of the 2012 season on Wednesday, September 19 when they host Western Connecticut State University at 4:00 pm at Gordon Field. The Cardinals drop to a record of 4-3 and will host Middlebury College on Tuesday, September 17 at 7:00 pm.
Sophomore Domb's penalty kick came 60 minutes into the game when a Plattsburgh defender put her hands on a ball that was out of the reach of Cardinal goal keeper Danielle Schmitt. Domb's kick went into the bottom left corner of the net to score her first goal of the 2012 season.

Ali Higgins recorded two saves in her second shutout of the season. Schmitt had seven saves.
Plattsburgh outshot Vassar with 14 shots compared to the Brewers' 13 shots.
