Rappaport Perfect From 3-Point Land In 78-19 Win Over Sarah Lawrence

BRONXVILLE, NY (December 10, 2012) – Three Brewers hit double-digit scoring during the Vassar College men's basketball win at Sarah Lawrence College Monday evening.

Junior guard Sam Rappaport led the Brewers with 21 points. All of his points came from his perfect 7-7 from beyond the 3-point line.

The Brewers (4-4) will next host Mount Saint Mary College on Wednesday, December 12 at 7:00 pm in their final non-league game. The Gryphons (3-7, 0-1 HVMAC) will next host The New School on Thursday, December 13 at 7:00 pm.

Sophomore forward Alex Snyder put in an early layup opening the Brewers 24-3 run that lasted 13 minutes in the first half. Vassar went on another run before halftime to make the score 45-11. The Brewers scored 23 of their first half points off of turnovers and 12 off of second chance shots.

Sarah Lawrence managed only eight points in the second half while Vassar piled on another 33.

Snyder hit his sixth double-double of the season with 17 points and ten rebounds. Sophomore guard Curtis Smith added 12 points.
