Vassar Women's Notes: The Brewers (0-0) return junior guard Cydni Matsuoka (15.8 ppg), a First-Team All-Liberty League selection and sophomore forward Colleen O'Connell (8.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg), who was the league Rookie of the Year. Key returners include junior forward Hannah Senftleber ((8.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg), senior forward Natalie Allen, senior guard Ali Higgins and sophomore guard Nyah Berg.

The College at Brockport Notes: The Golden Eagles (1-0) opened up their 2012-2013 season with 72-30 victory over Cazenovia College on Thursday night. Cecilia Sigrist led the Golden Eagles with 14 points while Alexandra Marshall chipped in 13 points.

Nazareth College Notes: The Golden Flyers (0-1) began their 2012-13 season with a 70-52 non-conference loss to Fredonia on Thursday. Senior Erica Shaw tallied a team-high 12 points.

Coaches: Vassar is coached by Candice Brown, who is in her 4th season. Brown has led the Brewers to back-to-back Liberty League Championships and appearances in the NCAA Division III Championships. She was the 2010-11 Liberty League Coach of the Year. Brockport is coached by Nicole Beauregard, who in her 5th season. Nazareth is coached by Devin Gotham in his 6th season.
