POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (October 9, 2012) – The Vassar College women's volleyball team (14-5) will take its five match winning streak on the road for a Liberty League contest against Bard College (5-14) on Wednesday, October 10 at 7:00 pm. Following Bard, the Brewers will host a league crossover event at the Athletics & Fitness Center on Friday, October 12 starting at 5:00 pm.

Vassar is coming off winning the 2012 Seven Sisters Championship this past weekend. The Brewers defeated No. 25 nationally ranked Wellesley 3-2 to win the title for the second time since 2009. Senior setter
Hilary Koenigs was named Seven Sisters MVP. On Monday, she was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week. For her play at Seven Sisters, which included 20 digs in the championship match, freshman
Chloe Hallum was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
Earlier this season, Vassar defeated Bard at Kenyon Hall, 3-0 (25-8, 25-8, 25-11).
On Friday, Vassar completes the final weekend of Liberty League play with a 5 pm match against Skidmore (15-4). The Thoroughbreds defeated Vassar 3-1 (25-18, 16-25, 17-25, 18-25) on September 29 and are on a 13 match winning streak. The 7:30 pm match pits Vassar against Union (14-9), a team the Brewers defeated 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-11) on September 28.

On Saturday, the Brewers will face Rochester Institute of Technology (17-9) at Bard at 11 am. Vassar won the first meeting between the two schools 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-13) on September 21.
