RUTLAND, VT (January 15, 2012) -- The Vassar College men's basketball team entered halftime tied at 41-41 but surrendered a costly run early in the second half en route to a 91-83 loss to College of St. Joseph (Vermont) on Sunday.

The Brewers (5-7) return to Liberty League play on the road at Hobart College on Friday, January 20, at 8:00 p.m. and at Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The Fighting Saints (15-2) host Paul Smith's on Wednesday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m.
Capping a back-and-forth first half, Snyder hit a buzzer-beater to tie the game at 41-41. The Fighting Saints made a run early in the second to take an 11-point lead. Vassar cut the lead to two points on two occasions but was unable to regain the lead.
St. Joseph had five players with fourteen or more points. Forward Dane Jobst led the Fighting Saints with a 23-point, 10-rebound double-double with five assists, shooting 10-of-11 from the floor. Rahiem Smalls had 18 points, followed by Ramel Anderson with 16 points. Evan Jobst had 14 points and six assists while Dre Anderson tallied 14 points. James Radja dished a game-high nine assists.
