POTSDAM, NY (September 30, 2011) -- The Vassar College women's soccer team evened its Liberty Leauge record at 1-1 with a come-from-behind, double-overtime 2-1 win against Clarkson University on the road on Friday at Clarkson Field.

Vassar freshman Chloe Wheeler scored the golden goal in the 103rd minute, connecting on a lofty shot from 25-yards out just over the outstretched hand of Clarkson freshman goaltender Brianna Thibeau for the game-winner in the second overtime period.

The Brewers (6-4, 1-1 Liberty) continue the Liberty League road trip at St. Lawrence on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Golden Knights (5-2, 0-2 Liberty), who suffered their first home loss of the season, host Bard College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Vassar conceded a goal in the opening minute but pressured Clarkson with a 15-8 shot advantage, eventually tying the contest in the 55th minute as freshman Kelsey Domb took advantage of a Clarkson miscue just outside the box and scored into an empty net for her fifth goal of the year.

Clarkson scored 22 seconds after the opening touch as Taylor Abraham won a loose ball at midfield, beating the Brewer defenders and goaltender, and set a low shot into an empty goal.

Thibeau made four saves for the Knights, while freshman Lily Lanier made two stops to earn the win for the Brewers.
