Men's Tennis Downed 8-1 By No. 9 Nationally Ranked Williams

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (April 9, 2011) -- The Vassar College men's tennis team faced the No. 9 ITA nationally ranked Williams College and dropped the final home match of the year 8-1 on Saturday at Josselyn Tennis Courts. Vassar honored seniors Josh Jasso and Max Willner.

The No. 29 ranked Brewers (8-9) travel to Stevens Institute of Technology for a 3:30 p.m. match on April 27. The Ephs (6-4) play Amherst on Sunday, April 10, at 1:00 p.m.

Vassar played three very close doubles matches but it's only point came at No. 2 doubles as Willner and sophomore Andrew Guzick knocked off Trey Meyer and Felix Sun 8-6.

Williams swept the singles matches with several close contests. Sophomore Josh Kessler took Dylan Page to a tiebreaker in the first set but fell 7-62, 6-3.
