Women's Soccer Nipped In Last Minute By Montclair State 2-1

MONTCLAIR, NJ (October 22, 2011) -- The Vassar College women's soccer team surrendered goals in the final minute of each half for a 2-1 loss to Montclair State University on Saturday at MSU Soccer Park.

Vassar evened the score at 1-1 in the 68th minute with a goal by freshman Kelsey Domb but MSU's Francesca Gibson spoiled Vassar's shot at overtime with an unassisted goal in the 90th minute.

The Brewers (7-8-1, 2-4-1) host Farmingdale State on Wednesday, October 26, at 3:30 p.m. The Red Hawks (12-4-1) host NJAC opponent Ramapo on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.

Montclair State took a 1-0 lead seconds before halftime with a goal by Jessica Kiniery on a cross from Amanda Pero.

Montclair State kept the ball in Vassar's end for much of the game with a 25-3 edge in shots but Vassar keeper Lily Lanier made an impressive 17 saves in the losing effort. Gina Poliscastro made one save for Montclair State.
