POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 17, 2011) -- Without a full recovery from the Kumph Invite two days ago, the Vassar College men's swimming and diving team fell 147-107 to Trinity College Monday evening at Kresge pool.

“They rebounded well from the meet on Saturday,” said head coach Lisl Prater-Lee. “It's challenging to get up and swim fast just two days after competing.”

The Brewers (0-5) travel to Montclair State on Wednesday, January 26 for a 6:00 p.m. meet.

Sophomore Mathue Duhaney earned top points for the Brewers with a win in the 50 free with a time of 22.20.

Junior Jack Smart won the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.13.

The 100 yard backstroke was a strong event for the Brewers as Kevin Lee placed second in 59.14 and senior Alistair Hall took third in 59.52.

Freshman Michael Renner dropped .64 seconds for a season best in the 100 freestyle in 54.46 seconds for fourth place.
