Women's Swim-Dive Outpaced 155-139 By Pace University

Results

PLEASANTVILLE, NY (November 19, 2010) -- The Vassar College women's swimming and diving team performed well in several areas of a close 155-139 loss to Pace University on Friday night.

The Brewers (1-1-1) will race cross-river rival SUNY New Paltz on the road Saturday, November 20 at 1:00 p.m. The Setters (6-0) take an undefeated record to the Bentley Invitational on December 5.

Pace proved a challenging match-up for Vassar as, “we had several personal bests, but Pace was also strong in these areas,” said head coach Lisl Prater-Lee. “We competed well but couldn't counteract some of their talented swimmers.”

Vassar junior diver Christie Musket set a school record and claimed the 3m event with a score of 232.12.

Junior Amy Entwisle posted a season best and won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:52.95 seconds.

Freshman Alison Burns finished second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:20.57 seconds.
