ITHACA, NY (November 1, 2008) – The Vassar College women's soccer team dropped its season finale 1-0 to No. 10 Ithaca College on Saturday. Ithaca outshot Vassar 30-5 en route to the win.

The Brewers finish the season with an 8-6-1 record, while the Bombers improve to 12-2-2.

The lone goal was scored in the 59th minute by Chelsea Stouffer (Wheatland-Chili/Scottsville) on an assist from Nikki Rice (Sutton Memorial/Sutton, Mass.). Rice crossed the ball from the left side, and Stouffer converted a close shot for her third goal of the season.

The Bombers held a 30-5 edge in shots, and a 6-1 advantage in shots on goal. Ithaca took 10 corner kicks, while Vassar had just two.

Anna Robinson (Toronto, ON/Havergal College) had two shots for the Brewers and Carolyn Demougeot (Potomac, MD/French International) had Vassar's lone shot on goal.

In goal, senior Anne Hutchinson (St. Pete Beach, FL/Tampa Preparatory), recorded five saves. Bomber goalie Alyssa Sotomayor (East Brunswick/East Brunswick, N.J.) made one save in her seventh shutout of the year.
