Men's Soccer Falls to High Scoring No. 7 Stevens, 6-0

HOBOKEN, NJ (September 26, 2007) -- Stevens forward Mike Kaiser tallied for goals and the host Ducks scored three goals in each the first and second periods, en route to a 6-0 victory over Vassar's men's soccer team Wednesday night. The victory improves top 10 nationally ranked Stevens to 7-0-1, while Vassar falls to 5-2. The Brewers will next play on October 1 with a road night game against Bard at 7:00 pm.

The Ducks took the early lead in the ninth-minute on a goal by sophomore forward Terrance Johnson (Slidell, La.). Senior midfielder Ryan Wilkison (Harrisburg, Pa.) was tabbed with the assist. Five minutes later, Kaiser scored his first of four consecutive goals on the night on an unassisted effort. Then, in the 34th-minute, Kaiser earned his second score on a pitch from freshman defender Michael Quijano (Jersey City, N.J.).

In the closing half, Kaiser notched his third and fourth tallies on the night off feeds from Johnson and sophomore forward Todd Sheridan (Galloway, N.J.) in the 63rd- and 66th-minute, respectively. The Ducks concluded the scoring in the 68th-minute when junior forward Erick Muse (Candia, N.H.) placed a shot into the top-right corner of the net on a breakaway.
