SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (September 22, 2007) -- Vassar's women's field hockey team fell to No. 17 ranked Skidmore College, 5-0, Saturday afternoon in Liberty League action. The loss dropped the Brewers to 2-5, 0-2 on the season, while Skidmore improves to 6-1, 3-0.
Vassar returns to action on Wednesday, September 26 with a Liberty League road game against RPI.
Skidmore made the most of an 18-1 penalty corner advantage with all five goals originating off corners.
Skidmore held a 24-2 advantage in shots, scoring two goals in the first half against starter
Ellie Pomerantz (Hartsdale, NY) and three in the second half against
Taylor Herman (Flemington, NJ). The Vassar goalies combined for nine saves on the game.
Chelsea Lisaius (Warren, VT) scored two goals for Skidmore, as did Casey Tang (Columbia, MD).
