Iron Brewer Training Facility

Mission Statement
The overall mission for the Sports Performance Program at Vassar College is to create a respected, energetic and competitive environment for student-athletes to develop themselves.  Student-athletes can expect to improve athletic performance through the implementation of a structured strength and conditioning plan where movement patterns and techniques are highlighted. This foundation in functional movement leads the way to increased strength development and injury prevention, all of which are essential to peak athletic performance.

The Vassar College Sports Performance program serves over 400 student-athletes yearly, and has seen tremendous growth over the past years. The program currently has a two dedicated and certified staff member, who work with coaches to supervise workouts, design conditioning plans for teams and individuals, and promote higher performance through training safely and effectively.

The Iron Brewer Training Facility is a facility reserved for training athletes, and is run by the Strength and Conditioning staff, and serves 29 intercollegiate programs.
