Basketball - Athletics & Fitness Center

The Athletic & Fitness Center houses the basketball court. The following directions are from entering campus off Raymond Avenue.

  • From the Main Gate go straight toward Main Building.
  • Turn right at the second stop sign on Main Campus Drive.
  • Follow Main Campus Drive to the next stop sign, make a left.
  • Follow it to the next right. then turn right onto Sunset Lake Drive
  • Continue down the hill on Sunset Lake Drivel, go over the bridge and up Sunset Lake Drive.
  • Walker Field House is the gray wood building to your right
  • Parking available in the lot to your right.
  • The AFC is the brick building that is adjacent.
  • Parking available in the lot to your left.

Baseball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Track - Prentiss Sports Complex

Prentiss Sports Complex is located a half-mile west from the "T" at Raymond Avenue and Hooker Avenue. The following directions are from campus.

  • Continue southwest past the main gate on Raymond Avenue.
  • Turn right at the next light.
  • Continue past "Mole,Mole" on the left.
  • Turn right across from "Gulf" station onto Brewers Lane.
  • Fields and parking are on the right.

Rowing

The rowing facility is located less than five miles from campus. The following directions are from campus. Address to the facility: 272 N. Water Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

  • Take a right out of the main gate onto Raymond Avenue.
  • Stay straight through six traffic lights. At the 6th light, take a left onto U.S. HWY 44-55 West
  • Stay on 44-55 through 12-13 traffic lights.
  • 44-55 will bend to the left around the backside of the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel (on corner) and the Civic Center.
  • Get into the right most lane after you get around the bend, and take a right onto Main Street.
  • Stay straight on Main Street through 3 or 4 traffic lights, heading down the hill and under the Route 9 overpass.
  • Take a right onto N. Water Street.
  • Follow N. Water Street to the end (about a mile), passing the Poughkeepsie Train Station.
  • The road will end at the Vassar Boathouse (our main gate and blue Club House).
  • Parking available in the lot. If the gate is closed, park at the top of the hill.

Rugby & Cross Country - The Preserve at Vassar

The Preserve at Vassar is located a half-mile south from the "T" at Raymond Avenue and Hooker Avenue. The following directions are from campus.

  • Continue southwest past the main gate on Raymond Avenue.
  • At the traffic light, drive straight across the "T" on to a partially paved road.
  • Continue down and then up the hill.
  • Turn right past the barn.
  • Parking available near the entrance of the rugby field.

Swimming, Indoor Tennis, Fencing - Kresge Pool, Walker Field House

Walker Field House is the home to swimming and diving meets (hosted inside Kresge Pool), fencing meets and indoor tennis matches. The following directions are from entering campus by Raymond Avenue.

  • From the Main Gate go straight toward Main Building.
  • Turn right at the second stop sign on Main Campus Drive.
  • Follow Main Campus Drive to the next stop sign, make a left.
  • Follow it to the next right. then turn right onto Sunset Lake Drive
  • Continue down the hill on Sunset Lake Drivel, go over the bridge and up Sunset Lake Drive.
  • Walker Field House is the gray wood building to your right
  • Parking available in the lot to your right.
  • The AFC is the brick building that is adjacent.

Tennis - Richard J. Cretella Tennis Center

  • From the Main Gate go straight toward Main Building.
  • Turn right at the second stop sign on Main Campus Drive.
  • Follow Main Campus Drive to the next stop sign, make a left.
  • Follow it to the next right. then turn right onto Sunset Lake Drive
  • Continue down the hill on Sunset Lake Drive, go over the bridge and up Sunset Lake Drive.
  • The tennis courts will be to your right
  • Walker Field House is the gray wood building to your right
  • Parking available in the lot to your right.

Volleyball, Squash - Kenyon Hall

  • From the Main Gate go straight toward Main Building.
  • Turn left at the second stop sign onto North Campus Drive.
  • Bear left at the 3-way stop sign.
  • Continue on North Campus Drive and through the next stop sign.
  • Turn right at that stop sign onto Kenyon Drive.
  • You will reach a campus stop sign at 1/4 mile. Go through.
  • After approximately 200 yards, Kenyon Hall and parking will be on your left.
