Marc Graham recently completed his seventh season as the Head Coach of the Brewers Men’s Lacrosse program in 2018, finishing 2-12. The 2017 team finished the season with a record of 11-5 overall and 4-3 in Liberty League play marking the most successful season in program history. The Brewers finished as the #3 seed in the Liberty League and earned a berth in their first conference playoff tournament. Graham’s 39 overall wins make him the most successful coach in program history.
Graham’s 2017 squad set several program records, including the most goals scored in a season with 170; most goals per game at 10.63; most points scored with 277; most points per game at 17.31. The team also posted perhaps the biggest win in program history with an 11-9 home victory over then #19 R.P.I. earning their first win over the Engineers and first win over a Top 20 opponent. Graham and his staff were voted as the 2017 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year.
In his seven seasons at Vassar Coach Graham has coached and mentored 17 Liberty League All-Conference players, 2 Liberty League Rookies of the Year, 1 USILA North/South Senior All-Star, 1 ECAC North Division All-Star, 1 USILA All-American, and 2 USILA Scholar All-Americans. 80 of Coach Graham’s players have
been named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
In 2012 Coach Graham became the eighth coach in program history and came to Vassar after coaching for 5 years as the Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. In the summer of 2013, Graham was also named as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Operations. In that role, he serves as the athletics department liaison with admissions, while also overseeing game administration. He has also established the Tier I Elite Summer Showcase and Vassar Fall Showcase recruiting events here at Vassar College.
