Nick Jasso

A 2013 English graduate of Vassar College, Nick Jasso enters his second year as the assistant coach. After graduation, Jasso remained active with the team as a volunteer assistant and assumed the position of assistant shortly thereafter. In his year as coach, Jasso and the Brewers posted a record of 11-9 and were 5-1 in Liberty League play. After working with an interim head coach for the fall, Jasso is now joined by head coach Alex Wong.

Jasso was a four-year player for the Brewers. While at Vassar, he posted 22 wins in singles play and 21 victories in doubles. As a senior, he captained the Brewers to a Liberty League Championship and a berth in the NCAA National Championship Tournament. Vassar posted an overall record of 11-13 and 3-1 in League action. They faced multiple nationally-ranked opponents and even Division I powerhouse, Army.

"Coach Jasso is a great addition to the Vassar Men's Tennis Coaching staff. As I came in as a new coach, Coach Jasso's leadership was invaluable during the time of transition," Coach Wong said. "Without his hard work, the transition would have been extremely difficult for me, as well as the entire team. His passion for Vassar is unmatched as shown by his dedication to the team. We are fortunate to have him on staff to help lead Vassar to continued success."

Jasso hails from Olmito, TX and now currently lives in Poughkeepsie.
