Mark Griffiths is an experienced coach who has worked at Vassar for 17 years each fall season since 1999. He played at Hawthorn Comprehensive School in South Wales, coached there by former Newport and Cardiff flanker Bryan Lease. Griffiths played for Pontypridd and attended Bristol University studying for a degree in Engineering. He was signed as a fulltime professional player by Premiership team Bristol when he was still a student at Bristol University being one of the youngest players in the Premiership. During his time with Bristol he worked with coach Bob Dwyer. Injury forced Mark to retire at the age of 24. Mark has extensive experience with both 15's and 7's.
