Mattie Mrlik of the men's soccer team was tabbed the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, while four other Vassar College student-athletes were honored in this week's release.

Devan Gallagher of the volleyball team were named to the Honor Roll, as announced Monday afternoon.
Mattie Mrlik picked up four points on two goals in Vassar's 3-0 shutout over No. 12 Rochester on Saturday. Mrlik padded the Brewer lead (2-0) in the 68th minute. Following touch passes between
Alex Gonzales and
Reid Smith, Smith slotted a pass to Mrlik, who beat the keeper one-on-one before finding the back of the net. Mrlik continued to play aggressively on offense, gathering a steal on the opposite side before breaking away down the middle before scoring his team-leading seventh goal of the season. Mrlik paces the Brewers with 21 points, placing him first among league leaders.
Tyler Gilmore continued to perform in the clutch, notching the game-winner in men's soccer's 3-0 shutout over No. 12 Rochester. The defender put the Brewers on the board in the 51st minute, heading his fourth goal of the season into the left side of the net, following a
Hayden Van Brewer corner kick. Of Gilmore's four total goals, all of them have been headers and three of them have been game-winners, a conference best.
Audrey Pillsbury sparked the offense in Vassar's 4-0 shutout over Ramapo on Oct. 20, notching the game-winner and assisting on another score within the first 10 minutes of play. For the game's first tally,
Amanda McFarland dribbled down the left side before passing to Pillsbury, who trickled her fifth goal of the season into the far right side from inside the six. For the Brewers' second score, which occurred less than two minutes later, Pillsbury returned the favor, playing a through ball to
Jordyn Matthews, who connected from about 20 yards out straight back into the net. With that, Pillsbury is second on the team with 13 points on five goals and three assists.
Stephanie Tapolsky helped the Brewers to their fourth clean sheet of the season, helping with a 4-0 shutout over Ramapo on Oct. 20. The keeper made one save over 73 minutes to set the Brewers up for success.
Devan Gallagher helped the Brewers to a 2-2 record on the weekend, as she was pivotal in helping Vassar clinch the regular season title in the Liberty League. Gallagher averaged 3.63 kills per set while hitting .279 for the week. She also added eight total blocks (0.42 blocks/set). Against Union, she posted 13 kills in five sets, adding two blocks in a five-set loss. She would post 15 terminations in a four-set win over SLU Friday, hitting .484 for the match. On Saturday, Gallagher went off in a five-set regular season title clinching win over Clarkson, chalking up a career-high 26 kills on .281 hitting, also posting three blocks including a match-winning block at 17-16 of the fifth set. She would also post 15 kills (.216 hitting), four digs and two blocks.
