POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (October 6, 2014) – Sophomore
Kelsey Hamm (Wilmington, NC/John T. Hoggard) of the Vassar women's soccer team and freshman Meghan Wilcoxon (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) of the Vassar women's cross country team were named to their respective Liberty League teams of the week in a release made by the conference offices today.
Hamm earned her first career selection as the defensive performer of the week after a stellar weekend helping the Brewers earn two shutout victories over Clarkson (10/18) and St. Lawrence (10/19). Hamm helped anchor a Brewer defense that allowed only 7.0 shots per game with only six total shots coming on goal in the victories. Hamm also notched her first assist of the season on the game-winning goal in VC's 1-0 win over Clarkson.
Willcoxon earned her first selection as the Liberty's Rookie of the Week for cross country after finishing as the top freshman runner at the Seven Sisters Championships Saturday. Wilcoxon finished eighth overall with a time of 23:16 in her first 6k race of the season.

Chloe Wheeler (Thousand Oaks, CA/Westlake) was anmed to the women's soccer honor roll after scoring her third game game-winning goal of the season against Clarkson on 10/17 powering the Brewers to a 1-0 victory.
