BOHEMIA, NY (May 21, 2013) – Junior first baseman Brett Zaziski was named to the 2013 ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team Tuesday morning. Zaziski was one of three Liberty League baseball players to earn first team recognition.

Senior outfielder for Union College, Tyler Heck, and senior right-handed pitcher Sean Conroy of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute are the other two Liberty Leaguers to make All-Region First Team. A total of 10 other Liberty League players made either second or third team All-Region.

Zaziski played in all 39 games this season with a batting average of .449. During his 136 at-bats, he had 61 hits, 19 doubles, two triples and 29 RBI. He also crossed plate 25 times.

As a first baseman, Zaziski was credited in 31 double plays. He had a fielding percentage of .974 and had 319 putouts. He added 19 assists as well.

Zaziski earned All-Liberty League First Team while also garnishing a Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll and the All-Liberty League Academic Honor.
