SPRINGFIELD, MA (May 17, 2013) – The Vassar College women's track team highlighted in four events during the ECAC Championship Meet held at Springfield College on Thursday and Friday evening. Senior
Kelly Holmes earned her spot at the NCAA Championship meet in La Crosse, WI on May 22-25. The event is hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Holmes had the highest place finish for the Brewers. She took second in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:12.43, earning her spot in the NCAA Championship meet.
Freshman
Sarah King was the early standout of the meet with a 10th place finish in the 3,000 Meter Steeple Chase with a time of 11:46.09. Sophomore sprinters
Ariel Bridges and
Heather Ingraham both ran high times in the 400 and 200 Meter Dashes. Ingraham ran an eighth place, 57.88 in the 400 Meter Run while Bridges finished 20th in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 25.69.
