ITHACA, NY (September 28, 2012) - Andrew Guzick and Dan Freeman advanced to the round of 16 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regionals Friday at Ithaca College.

Guzick and Freeman defeated Ting Yee Lai and William Smithline from New York University 8-1 to advance onto the next round. The team will face Justin Levine and Zach Lipson of Ithaca Saturday.

Guzick, Freeman, Christian Phelps and Daniel Cooper still await their singles matches on Saturday as well. Nick Jasso was defeated by Chandler Daub of Rochester Institute of Technology  6-3, 6-1 and Josh Kessler was defeated by Miles Ransom of Skidmore College in a close 6-4, 6-4 match.

Jasso and Kessler were also defeated in a close match against Brandon Mazzara and Sherman Uyeno of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 8-6 in doubles play.
