POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (May 25, 2010) -- After leading the Vassar College women's varsity 8 to a No. 14 ranking in Division III, senior captain and stroke seat
Christina Peltier was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Pocock All-America Second Team and seven of her teammates earned CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honors.
Peltier was one of just 18 athletes selected nationally in Division III for Pocock All-America honors. The award, which recognizes outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains at NCAA Division III institutions, is selected based on regular season record, end of season regatta results, nomination rank, comments from the nominee's coach, and the nominee's 2,000 meter erg score.

Caroline Jolley. In order to earn this honor, student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 cumulative career GPA, be in her 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of eligibility, and have rowed in a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or raced in a regional conference event.

Kate Frost made up Vassar's varsity 8 which placed third at the Liberty League Championships and then went on to win the Division III title at the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, the largest collegiate regatta in the nation, earning a No. 14 ranking for its efforts.
