Sarah Warner was one of 224 student-athletes in Division III that was selected to one of seven All-Region Teams by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Warner, who was named First Team All-Liberty League, was 16 players selected to the Empire Region First Team. Warner is now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American teams, which will be announced on May 25.
Warner, who was one of eight players from the Liberty League selected, concluded her junior season by setting the Vassar College single season scoring record with 57 goals, getting five of those in a season-ending 15-7 win over Rochester. She was named the Liberty League and ECAC Upstate Player of the Week on April 26.
Warner led Vassar in scoring with 57 goals, 13 assists, 49 ground balls and 106 shots. She ranked second in the Liberty League in scoring with 57 goals and in goals per game (3.56) and ranked eighth in assists and was third overall in points per game (4.38). Her 49 ground balls (2.62 per game) was second best in the league.
During the season, Warner had six games with five or more goals, including a career-high six goals against William Smith , which is tied for the third best single game output in school history. This past season, Warner had a career-high 10 shots against St. Lawrence and earned nine points against Clarkson (5 goals, 4 assists), the fourth best single point game in school history.
