Mike Perrone was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Year, a program first. Perrone also earned All-League Honorable Mention honors along with senior outfielder
Ari Glantz, as announced on Thursday as voted on by coaches around the league.
The Brewers concluded the season 10-27, 5-19 in the Liberty League, the most overall wins since 2005, tied for the most ever league wins in program history and the program's best finish since the league moved to four-game series. Vassar led the league in stolen bases and set a new single season program mark with 111 stolen bases.

Perrone started every single game at shortstop and lead-off hitter for Vassar. A three-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week, Perrone led the league in batting average (.434), hits (66) and stolen bases (36). He set Vassar's single season record for hits, surpassing the 64 Kristaps Aldins had in 2005 when he was Player of the Year. Perrone led the Brewers in nearly every offensive category: batting average (.434), at bats (152), runs (39), hits (66), triples (3), slugging percentage (.493), on base percentage (.485), and stolen bases (36). Perrone, who struck out just six times in 152 at bats, had at least one hit in all but six games and had multiple hits in 20 games, including three four-hit games and nine three-hit games. He had at least one hit in seven straight games to begin the season. Incredibly hard to stop on the base paths, Perrone stole multiple bases in eight games including four against Rochester,
three against Hamilton, and five against Union. He drove in a season-high three runs to go with four hits and a double, four runs, and two stolen bases in a 15-8 win against New Paltz. His other four-hit games came against league teams, St. Lawrence and RPI. Extremely quick with a powerful arm, Perrone made numerous difficult saves at shortstop throughout the season.
Over the final seven games of the season Perrone averaged 2.4 stolen bases per game, culminating with five stolen bases in the final game of the year, an 8-2 win over Union. In the weekend series against Union, Perrone was 11-for-12 on the base paths and on the second day, he accumulated six hits and seven stolen bases to lead the Brewers to a program first league doubleheader sweep with 14-9 and 8-2 wins on May 9.
Beyond setting the single season hits record, Perrone also set new single season marks in at-bats (152) and assists (119), ranked second in batting average (.434) and on base percentage (.486), third in stolen bases (36) and fourth in runs scored (39). Additionally, in just one season Perrone ran himself onto the all-time career steals list, as he is tied for ninth.

Stats: 35 games played - 35 games started, .291 batting average (37-127), 37 hits, 28 RBIs, 28-33 stolen bases, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs, 27runs, .465 slugging percentage, .383 on base percentage
This is the third consecutive All-League Honorable Mention selection for Glantz who led the team in RBIs (28) and home runs (3) and ranked second in steals (28) and slugging percentage (.465). A Liberty League Performer of the Week on April 12, Glantz ranked third in the league in steals (28). He had eight games with two or more hits, seven games with two or more RBIs and eight games with two or more steals. He recorded a career-high in hits (5) and a season-high in runs (4) as he fell a home run shy short of hitting for the cycle in a 10-9 win over Mount Saint Mary with two doubles, one triple and two RBIs. Glantz had
three hits and two stolen bases in the league-opener against St. Lawrence and matched a career-high with three stolen bases to go with two hits, one double, one RBI, two runs against Clarkson. Glantz recorded three RBIs in three games, against Rochester, New Paltz, and Union.
In the final doubleheader of his career, Glantz had a home run, two stolen bases, three RBIs, and one run in a 14-9 game one win over Union and two stolen bases and a hit in the nightcap as the Brewers won 8-2 to record the program's first ever league doubleheader sweep.
Glantz is Vassar's all-time career leader in stolen base percentage with a .910 average (61-67) and his 61 stolen bases rank third all-time. Glantz is tied for first with 13 career triples, ranks second in career slugging percentage (.468), fourth in hits (140) and doubles (25), tied for fourth in runs (88) and home runs (4), sixth in on base percentage (.403), at bats (434), total bases (142), and fielding percentage (.914), tied for sixth in games started (121) and ninth in batting average (.323).
