Senior Arjun Agarwala ended his career with a five-game win at No. 3
MIDDLETOWN, CT (February 21, 2010) – With six matches decided in the maximum five games, the final match for the Vassar College men’s squash team was a close one, but unfortunately the Brewers ended their season with a tight 5-4 loss to Drexel University in the Chaffee Division of the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships, played at Wesleyan University on Sunday.
The Brewers conclude the season with a 4-13 record and a No. 36 final ranking.
All four of Vassar’s wins came in five games. Seniors
Arjun Agarwala and
Henk Isom closed out their careers with victories for the Brewers as Agarwala defeated Akshay Singh at No. 3, 7-11, 12-10, 13-15, 11-6, 11-8, and Isom recovered from a 2-0 deficit at No. 4 for a 9-11,8-11,18-16,11-8,11-9 win over Adam Ryan. Additionally, Vassar senior
David Prentice concluded his career with a 11-9, 11-4, 11-6 exhibition win.
"Although it was a tough loss, everyone played so hard today and it was particularly great to see our three seniors end their careers in Vassar squash uniforms with victories today," said head coach Jane Parker.

Jacob Harris concluded his debut season on a high note, with an 11-7, 11-2, 9-11, 8-11, 11-5 win over Auritro Chaterjee at the top of the ladder while junior
Ansser Sadiq gave Vassar its fourth win at No. 8 with a 11-8, 6-11, 11-7, 11-13, 11-9 victory over Stefan Gagliano.
