Men's Basketball Guard McGraw Earns Third Liberty League Weekly Award

POUGHKEESPIE, NY (January 11, 2010) – A 19-day layoff between games couldn't cool down the hot scoring exploits of sophomore guard Caleb McGraw. Following a 28-point performance against Ramapo College, McGraw was named the Liberty League Guard of the Week for the third time this season.

McGraw earned the honor by leading the Brewers with 18 first half points and tacked on ten more in the second half against Ramapo College on January 8. Vassar's previous game was on December 19 against Division I College of William and Mary.

With the help of a 4-for-10 shooting from 3-point range, McGraw reached doubles figures for the ninth time in ten games and produced his third highest scoring output of the season following a 37-point performance in the season opener against Endicott and 31 points against Brandeis. McGraw has reached double figures in 28 of 33 games in his career.

McGraw is a 2009 graduate of Mount Edgecumbe High School in Sitka, Alaska, where he earned four letters in basketball, was named All-State as a junior and senior and earned All-Southeast Conference honors three years.
