Despite the overcast and occasional mist, the weather held off on the rain and helped Vassar begin their year on the right foot. The Brewers are looking forward to facing tough competition this weekend at the Quadricentennial Poughkeepsie Regatta, where the varsity 8+ will be racing teams including Penn, Columbia, and Syracuse. Marist will be hosting the event, in an effort to bring back a historical tradition that began in 1895, when the Hudson River was home to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association's National Championship race.
Vassar will also be competing at the Head of the Mohawk Regatta in Schenectady, NY on Saturday.
