POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (December 14, 2009) – Following a career-best performance against Hunter College, men's basketball freshman Jon Herzog recorded another career-first, named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Against Hunter on Wednesday, Herzog scored a career-high 23 points (his second straight double figures game) on 6-for-12 shooting from the field, including 4-for-5 from three point range and 7-for-9 from the free throw line. He scored 15 of his points in the second half, with eight of those tallies coming in a span of 41 seconds when the Brewers were in comeback mode. In a 29 minute outing, Herzog had four assists, four rebounds, one steal and one turnover. The performance followed up what was then a career-high night with 14 points against Williams College.
