Chloe McGuire, Freshman, Women’s Volleyball Performer of the Week
McGuire was named MVP of the Vassar Invitational after leading the Brewers to a second consecutive title. In four matches she had 45 kills (3.00 per set) and reached double figures in kills in three of four matches. Impressively, McGuire had 61 digs (4.07 per set) and set a new career high in that category twice with 21 against Rochester and Fredonia. She also had five service aces and five block assists. This is McGuire’s first Performer of the Week honor, but her second Liberty League recognition, as she was also the Rookie of the Week on September 21.
Hilary Koenigs, Freshman, Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Koenigs was named to the Vassar Invitational All-Tournament Team after helping to lead the Brewers to the title for a second consecutive year. In four matches she had a total of 129 set assists (8.60), including three straight 30-plus efforts, which marked the 17th time in 28 matches she has topped the 30-plus assist plateau. Koenigs also had 31 digs (2.07), six kills, nine total blocks and three service aces. This is already Koenig’s eighth Liberty League honor in her short career, as she has been named Rookie of the Week seven times to go with one Performer of the Week honor.
