Women's Rowing Earns Two Fourth Place Finishes at Head of the Housatonic

Varsity 8+ Results | Varsity 4+ Results

SHELTON, CT (October 10, 2009) – The Vassar College women's rowing team competed at the Head of the Housatonic regatta on Saturday, with both the varsity 8+ and varsity 4+ finishing in fourth place.

The women's varsity 8+ finished fourth out of six teams, in a time of 19:22.406, with Williams College winning the race in 17:14.138. Rowing in the varsity 8+ were Nicole Clark at stroke, Caroline Jolley-7, Hannah Wilkoff-6, Erin Donohoe-5, Kamela Caschette-4, Emma Russell-3, Danielle Bonneau-2, Reese Wong at bow, and Naomi Alpert at coxswain. The varsity 4+ boat, with Christina Peltier at stroke, Hannah Siebens-3, Alina von Korff-2, Wilkoff at bow, and coxswain Jessica Panico, placed fourth of seven teams in a time of 19:22.142, with Williams again taking the top spot in 18:33.604.

The Brewers will close out their fall season at the prestigious Head of the Charles regatta in Boston next Saturday, October 17.
